Here we make a stand for what we believe truly grand. Here we make a bon fire of bushell baskets. At the very least let us strive to be amazing..."that your joy may be full".

I had heard about this disturbing fact from my Democratic neighbors, the Waltons (or so they say?), at last month's  town hall meeting. I live in a little town called Normal, Illinois. We had called a special meeting to discuss the new name for our town that had been decided upon in last November's elections. The tension created by the new Normal naming was far greater than that created by the presidential contest, don't you know. They, my democratic neighbors, were...

Well, Washington, what's it gonna be?  I'll bet most of you up there in that NW corner of our land have no idea of what your so naive liberal congress folk are up to these days. Putting aside all the obvious perversity of having same sex marriage made legal in their state, (how do they do that?)  they will no doubt call all who oppose their linking up with the gay pride group a bunch of bigots. So be it.

Has there been a study on the percentage of h...

The pay toilets were being over used because of the protesters's (the Protestants) constant flushing when only one had urinated into the bowl. It had been decided by my ex that at least 3 or 4 could pee before the need to 'pull the   chain'. This protest was way before the green movement had become so ...so green, but my wifey was so forward thinking. We were there (Wall Street if you can believe that) to protest the cost of the pay toilet usage going from 5 cents ...

How sweet it is. Just yesterday I called my mother to inform her I would be coming home to work in the family ice cream business, and quit trying to be the next big thing on Broadway. I have been here for three weeks, and it shows. 'Squeeze Play' was to be the one that did it for me, and when it got shot down at the last minute I felt it was time to wake-up and face the obvious...Writing plays, no. Selling ice cream, yes. However, when Sid called and told me that the backers had seen the ...

How are you tonight? Happy New Year. Remember last year, when the screwball senate voted to reform health care? Remember how they ignored the will of the people because as they know, they know better than the people. They passed that stinking, filthy piece of crap that no one thinks will work or benefit anyone other than the power boys over at the DNC. You forgot already? They were hoping you would.  While I'm thinking of it, vote Republican this November. Anyways, I've fallen way behind in...

Well, here we go again. Just when you think you might see the light at the end of the tunnell, in walks Nancy Pelosi and kisses you with her chocalaty breath, and tells you dreams really can come true. I want to sexually dominate every democratic female in the house and senate. It is my dream. I have a dream.

Martin Luther King would have to watch his mouth if he were alive today. Hate crimes, y'know? He absolutely hated homosexuals. Not so much as they hated him, but he applauded when ...

With all the kissy kissy going on with the 'major' media and the progessive Dems these days, I thought I would have to put in an emergency call to fearless leader Limbaugh... to inform him of the most recent example. There I was, watching my share of commercials  on MSNBC. This was the one where the president of the company gives the world his social security number, (reminds me of another president I know), him being so sure that no one will be able to rip him off. You've all seen that one...

Some of you might recall that I'm a poet. I studied at Boston in the early 70's under Prof. Lloyd Schwartz, and got a couple of A's on some of my pieces. I was completely unaware of how completely out of my mind I was back then, and Prof. Schwartz,(now a nationally recognized writer, film critic, all-around good guy) was so kind in developing and converting my misguided energies. At any rate, I want you all to know that I'm not some 'crazy' howlin at the moon.

   Has an...

Well, it seems a light year turns out to be a lot longer than we thought. When we 'ALL' voted to go on this trip to the 'closest' star to earth we were aware of the relativity of time and space and that we would indeed be saying a great big 'SAYONARA' to our generations, all three of them. My good wife is twenty years my younger (there's two) and the twins are barely eleven. At best, we'll all be 18 yrs. to the plus when we return, and the earth will have aged somewheres around 38 to 58 year...

I guess it's been a couple of weeks now, so I hope this comparison doesn't seem insensitive. It's a little scene out of my life that maybe has some meaning in this chaotic time that we find ourselves in. It did to me, so here goes.
When the Virginia Tech massacre story broke in all its stunning horror, I was struck by my own insensitivity of it all. As it was registering in my mind, I heard of another gruesome report out of Iraq of yet another bombing wherein a similar number of innocents w...

Well, I haven't got all the details worked out yet, but it'll be something like this. JOE USER IDOL!!! We'll form the panel of judges from names in a hat...no, let's just grab the most published list, yeah, that's the ticket, and then we'll submit our post and the ju posters who can prove their American citizenship... well, alright, they can just prove something nice, they can write in, using the interesting/inciteful boxes, and pick the categorized winners and honor them with something nice. ...

I can still feel the victory of '04 as if it were yesterday. Living in the Northeast, I had to go home and go to bed with things up in the air as the west put itself on record, and my strong faith in the Republicans being the party I believed God wanted for our country's leadership... let me fall to sleep knowing things were cool. You'll recall, baseball fans, that was the year my Red Sox did so wonderfully in their post season (won it all, didn't they?), and it was a magic time for us all, was ...

I recently was an audience guest on the VIEW, and caught the mysterious Ivana Trump on the set. The segment, as far as I know, never got aired, but as close as I can recall, this is the poem she wrote and read. I only had one semester in poetry at school, but I thought it pretty cool. Hey, that rhymes...! School...cool.
