Here we make a stand for what we believe truly grand. Here we make a bon fire of bushell baskets. At the very least let us strive to be amazing..."that your joy may be full".

Well, it seems a light year turns out to be a lot longer than we thought. When we 'ALL' voted to go on this trip to the 'closest' star to earth we were aware of the relativity of time and space and that we would indeed be saying a great big 'SAYONARA' to our generations, all three of them. My good wife is twenty years my younger (there's two) and the twins are barely eleven. At best, we'll all be 18 yrs. to the plus when we return, and the earth will have aged somewheres around 38 to 58 year...

I guess it's been a couple of weeks now, so I hope this comparison doesn't seem insensitive. It's a little scene out of my life that maybe has some meaning in this chaotic time that we find ourselves in. It did to me, so here goes.
When the Virginia Tech massacre story broke in all its stunning horror, I was struck by my own insensitivity of it all. As it was registering in my mind, I heard of another gruesome report out of Iraq of yet another bombing wherein a similar number of innocents w...

Well, I haven't got all the details worked out yet, but it'll be something like this. JOE USER IDOL!!! We'll form the panel of judges from names in a hat...no, let's just grab the most published list, yeah, that's the ticket, and then we'll submit our post and the ju posters who can prove their American citizenship... well, alright, they can just prove something nice, they can write in, using the interesting/inciteful boxes, and pick the categorized winners and honor them with something nice. ...

I can still feel the victory of '04 as if it were yesterday. Living in the Northeast, I had to go home and go to bed with things up in the air as the west put itself on record, and my strong faith in the Republicans being the party I believed God wanted for our country's leadership... let me fall to sleep knowing things were cool. You'll recall, baseball fans, that was the year my Red Sox did so wonderfully in their post season (won it all, didn't they?), and it was a magic time for us all, was ...

I recently was an audience guest on the VIEW, and caught the mysterious Ivana Trump on the set. The segment, as far as I know, never got aired, but as close as I can recall, this is the poem she wrote and read. I only had one semester in poetry at school, but I thought it pretty cool. Hey, that rhymes...! School...cool.

See the Shia? See the Iraqi? See the Suni? See the al qaida? See nato? See the English liberal P.M. ? See the Iranian ...

I don't know if you picked up on Bobby D,s statement a couple or three months back noting that there'd been no 'important songs' written in over twenty years. I took that to be a personal little jibe towards me. He's not a mean person by any means, and I should have dusted some of my stuff off and made him happy...but my producer had a breakdown some years back, (I guess it's been twenty years), and that and other things that also make me sad have had there affect, and maybe my songs are too ...

"What's a matter for you, aint you got no respect? This isa nice a place...shutta yo' face." What a song that was! It doesn't get much play anymore, but it ought to. In fact, someone should get a digitaly-remastered copy up to the White House immediately. It ought to be playing 'ala constante' in the halls outside the oval office for the new power-puff types (that feel the need to make their voices heard) to hear as they try to sell their wares. If I were the President I would also keep a pair ...

Category? Hmm, let's see. Art? Art who? Automotives? Call Triple A. Blogging? Is that the same as Blogging? Business? Whose? Current Events? That sounds cool...not. Entertainment? Hey! That's me! Oh great. Now I'm going to have to be 'entertaining'. Like there ain't enough 'entertaining' people out there already. Really, think about it. Why do they keep on pushing these entertaining types on us. Is anyone complaining that they're not entertained enough? Or as my Japanese teacher u...

Why now? Why at this point in American history are they attacking like this. Didn't we have a highly debated election last year. They weren't that mad about being 'duped' last year when they 'suppoted ' the troops. Are they just now figuring out that ol' W done pulled the wool over their eyes. Or were they all biting their collective tongues, believing that Senator Kerry would indeed be 'reporting for duty' at the White House. And as you all know, he would do things differently. Really, why now?...

Well, I'm guessing I'm the first to wish you all a Merry Christmas here at Joeuser.com. I just couldn't hold it in any longer. Also, I felt like it, and this is a free country. Unlike Canada, our neighbors to the north, who have been taken over by wealthy homosexuals and un-godly liberals, we in the good ol' U.S. of A. are still allowed to speak our minds without the fear of being called hate-mongor and having the law after you. Those darn homosexuals and un-godly types. How did that happen? Gue...

"When in Rome, do as the Romans do." That sounds like some good advice, no? If you are honest with yourself, you must admit that the country, as proven by the last major election, has decidedly moved to the right. Are you acing like the 'Right- Romans'? The dems, the leftist if you will, have observed this movement for over 10 years, beginning with the 1994 'Contract for America' that rode the republicans into control of the House. Surely you saw them trying to act 'right' during that 'major' e...

Man o man o man...(sexist-alert) Well, it sure is good to be back here with you all. Any of you that missed me, well, I'm sensitive and I react to negative replys to any of my post. Ok?
Well, now, where were we? Yes, it's all coming back to me. I was about to confess my real identity (famous seventies has-been) when my phone rang or beeped or gasped...and I will tell you it was a phone call un-like any I've ever received before! A job offer from a stranger, aka 'the man', who claimed know...

Now I've heard it all. While at the laundramat last Friday night (the best night for goin') i had to sit through a two hour talk about the return of Jesus. Being somewhat born again that particular subject always intrigues me, and although the conversation was between two Spanish ladies two machines down from my two dryers, and 'tho they spoke in a dialect that I'm not 100% fluent in, still, I picked up the gist of the ideas they were hitting on. You can laugh at me if you want to, but there is...

What a day! I just got back from the President's national address on Iraq and what a joy...they have re-runs of 'Judging Amy' on the hotels cable! Looks like I'll be up for a while. I'm trying to get my report ready for my local newspaper on President Bush's speech..but it'll have to wait. I'm hooked on this program! Ever since my wife told me that she (Amy Brennan, the show's star) was nude under those robes the show's had my attention. I didn't think they would allow that kind of thing on TV.....
